Ordering custom apparel is easier when you know what “handling time” means, where to read it, and how shipping fits in. This guide reflects how T Shirts Australia (formerly The Custom T Shirt Shop) works today. If anything here conflicts with a product page, checkout, or an official policy, follow those sources.

The source of truth for your date
Each product shows an estimated handling window before you buy. That estimate is the best guide to production timing, subject to workload, supplier factors, and complete order details (garment, size, colour, approved artwork, and payment).
Start your order from Custom T-shirts or custom printed T-shirts and apparel.
Handling time vs delivery time
Handling / production is the time to prepare your print and get the order ready to leave our Brisbane facility.
Delivery is transit time after dispatch. Choosing a faster courier service at checkout speeds delivery where available—it does not automatically change the production schedule. For the official wording, see Handling, Dispatch, and Deliveries Policy.
Same day, express, and standard
Selected products offer same day, express, or standard handling tiers. Availability depends on the exact product, stock, and configuration.
- Same-day production: where offered, orders must be fully submitted in time for the same-day cut-off of 10:30am on a business day (order details, artwork, and payment complete). Additional fees may apply—any surcharge is shown on the product or at checkout, not in this article (amounts can change).
- Express and standard: timelines and any rush-related charges are shown per product and at checkout.
If you need help hitting a deadline, contact us before you place the order: Contact.
Shipping and checkout
Shipping options and rates are displayed at checkout and may change from time to time. We do not list dollar amounts in this blog post so customers are not looking at outdated figures if rates update.
General expectations and responsibilities (including that handling estimates are separate from postal transit) are summarised in Handling, Dispatch, and Deliveries Policy.
Artwork and maximum print area
We print artwork as supplied. Low-resolution files will print soft or pixelated—zoom in and proof before you pay.
Maximum print area: 400 mm × 450 mm. Keep your design within the stated limits for that product.
When delays can happen
We work to meet the estimates shown, but realistic operations can slip during peak periods, supplier shortages, artwork clarifications, or payment delays. Build a sensible buffer for events, launches, and uniform rollouts.
Cancellations
Cancellations are covered in Return and Refund Policy (including restocking rules and when a waiver may apply). When in doubt, contact us as early as possible.

Frequently asked questions
Where do I find my handling estimate?
On the product page for the item you are ordering.
What is the same-day cut-off?
Where same-day production is offered, the cut-off is 10:30am on a business day, with the order fully complete (details, artwork, payment). Additional fees may apply as shown at checkout.
Does paying for faster shipping make the shirt print faster?
Not by itself. Faster shipping speeds delivery after dispatch. For faster production, choose a product/service level with a shorter handling estimate or contact us before ordering.
Where do I see shipping prices?
At checkout, where current options and rates are always up to date.
Why do two products show different handling?
Supplier, stock, garment type, colour, and service tier all change realistic production time.
Do you offer embroidery?
No. We do not offer embroidery at this time.
What is your cancellation policy?
Can I pick up in Brisbane?
Yes—confirm current pickup details on Contact.
Is T Shirts Australia the same as The Custom T Shirt Shop?
Yes. T Shirts Australia is the current brand and website.
